Australian, British, New Zealand and Danish troops mentor the Afghan instructors conducting officer cadet training at the Afghan National Academy Officer Academy. The academy has trained almost 4,000 officers, including more than 170 women, since it began in 2014. Operation Highroad is the Australian contribution to the NATO-led Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan. Australia contributes about 300 Defence personnel to the train, advise and assist mission.
