Australian and New Zealand Defence Force personnel of Task Group Taji-VII have been conducting a Mission Rehearsal Exercise at Kokoda Barracks, Canungra ahead of their upcoming deployment to Iraq on Operation Okra. The contingent of around 300 Australians and 100 New Zealanders have been rehearsing various aspects of their mission including giving lessons to Iraqi Security Forces, played by role-players, as well as taking part in realistic training scenarios to ensure Task Group Taji personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed on the operation. Task Group Taji's mission is to train, advise and assist the Iraqi Security Forces as they continue to conduct operations against the Daesh terrorist threat.
